12 Essentials to pack for Disney

The question before your trip is  what to pack for Disney?  Suitcase? Check. MagicBands? Check. Now, let’s get those 12 Essentials to pack for Disney in that park bag!

Where to begin when you are trying to figure out what to pack for Disney? With the bag, of course! I prefer a backpack-style bag for park touring. This leaves your hands and arms free to push a stroller, hold hands with loved ones, snap some photos, etc. Large or small? You decide based on your needs. When my girls were younger I used a larger bag for things like their snacks, diapers, and extra clothes. Now that we are all out of the diaper/baby phase, I can get away with a smaller bag. Here I am, channeling my inner-Minimalist, showing you how to pack a park bag :

Here is my list of basic essentials for anyone planning a day of touring the Walt Disney World® Parks:

  • Sunscreen

  • Lip balm with SPF

  • Travel-size Disinfectant wipes

  • Hand sanitizer with clip

  • Travel-size wipes

  • “Ziplock” style bags

  • Autograph book

  • Permanent marker

  • Portable External charger for cell phone(s)

  • Poncho(s)

  • Flip-flops (inside gallon ziplock)

  • MagicBand(s)*

*if you are staying on-site at a Walt Disney World® Resort, your MagicBand basically takes the place of your wallet/purse (credit cards, room key, park tickets, etc.), allowing you to leave those items secured in your room safe. Another perk to staying on-site!

Preparing for park touring can feel overwhelming, but your bag doesn’t have to be! Follow these tips, and you will feel prepared and well-organized for a day at any of the Parks.
