Pirate Rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

One of the more unique room categories can be found at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  You don’t have to wait for 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day' to enjoy these Pirate-themed rooms.  With a little imagination, the whole family can pretend that they are searching for the buried treasure! Come take a look at the Pirate Rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

The Pirate Rooms are all located in the Trinidad section of the resort. There are two views available in this category – Standard View and Water View which includes views of the lake or the pool.  Regardless of the view, the interior of the rooms is the same.

We briefly stayed here during a vacation and both of my kids immensely enjoyed the experience!  The 2 double beds are modeled after pirate ships.  The kids (and adults) had so much fun sitting on the bed pretending to navigate their ship through the ocean!

Besides the pirate ship bed, so many fun nautical details can be found throughout the room.

  • The carpet has a huge compass pictured on it, allowing young buccaneers to steer their ship with ease!

  • The mini fridge is hidden in a barrel-shaped cabinet.

  • The dresser is designed to look like stacks of crates.

  • There is pirate-themed art work on the wall.  Our room had a drawing of the last scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. (I love Captain Jack Sparrow.  I was much more excited about this than the kids!)

  • The nightstand between the 2 beds was designed as a barrel.

  • The bathroom area is separated from the bedroom area by a curtain.  The curtain includes the Jolly Roger – a skull and cross swords picture.

  • The shower curtain includes photos and names of pirate ships. I’m not an expert on pirate facts, but it appears that the names of the ships are ones that are found in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride or the movie franchise.

My family was able to make some amazing memories throughout our stay here!  Both my son and daughter had fun playing in the room, pretending to be pirates.  The Pirate Rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are definitely a hidden gem!

The one negative about staying in these rooms is that the Trinidad section is located on the outskirts of the resort.  Personally, we found this to be a positive and not a negative.  The resort grounds were so quiet and serene.  Not being located in close proximity to Old Port Royale, where the majority of the dining options and the Front Desk is located, was definitely a positive for our family.  The Trinidad section is actually home to it’s very own quick-service restaurant – Spyglass Grill.  This is an outdoor restaurant complete with outdoor seating on premises.  We actually visited this restaurant for every meal we enjoyed throughout our stay – it was that good!

Walt Disney World Resort hotels are hands down my favorite hotels to stay in when I travel.  The unique experiences and the little details that can be found in the theme parks can also be found in their Resort hotel rooms as well.  With such amazing theming, it is easy to be transported into a whole other world throughout your stay!
