Travel Tips to the Summit of Haleakala National Park
Its a long drive up and takes extra time if you are driving up for the sunrise
It can be COLD in Hawaii at this altitude. Be sure to bring warmer clothes as it can be 20 degrees colder at the summit than at the ocean.
Bring snacks and water with you, there are none available in the park That also goes for fuel for your car.

Hiking, Camping and Skywatching are all available Haleakala National Park. Find out more information at the NPS Website. Be safe up there with the altitude and the long drive. If you decide to go, it is worth the time!
