Our Stay at Disney’s Treehouse Villas: A Hidden Gem at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort!

If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a treehouse at Walt Disney World, I’m here to tell you that Disney’s Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are such a unique experience!

Our family recently spent six nights in a newly refurbished Treehouse Villa, and we absolutely loved our stay!

From the spacious accommodations and peaceful surroundings to the relaxing pools, delicious dining options, and scenic boat rides to Disney Springs, there was so much to love.

However, there are a few things you’ll definitely want to know before booking, especially when it comes to transportation and the size of this resort!

Here’s our full review, along with some tips that made our stay even better!

Location, Location, Location!

Before our arrival, I requested a Treehouse Villa close to the walking trail that connects to the Grandstand section of Saratoga Springs.

We were assigned Treehouse 7033, and it was PERFECT!

Our treehouse was the closest one to the walking trail, which made getting around the resort so much easier. It took us approximately 5–8 minutes to walk to the Grandstand bus stop.

Why was this so important?

During our stay, Grandstand was the first bus stop for park pickups and the first stop when returning from the parks. This was a huge perk, especially after a long day of walking around Disney!

Each morning, I would check the bus arrival times in the My Disney Experience app to help us decide the best way to get to the parks.

If you’re planning to stay in a Treehouse Villa, I highly recommend requesting one near the Grandstand walking trail. While requests aren’t guaranteed, this location worked out beautifully for our family!

Inside Our Newly Refurbished Treehouse Villa

One of our favorite things about the Treehouse Villas was just how much SPACE we had!

We traveled with a party of seven, and we never felt crowded.

Each Treehouse Villa features:

  • Three separate bedrooms

  • Two full bathrooms

  • A living room with a sleeper sofa that pulls out into a full-size bed

  • A full kitchen

  • A washer and dryer

  • A spacious living and dining area

Having a full kitchen and laundry available was such a convenience during our six-night stay.

The Treehouse Villas have also recently undergone refurbishment, and we loved the updates!

Everything felt fresh and inviting, and we especially enjoyed discovering all the little Disney touches throughout the villa.

Disney did a wonderful job incorporating subtle nods to Disney magic while maintaining the rustic, peaceful treehouse atmosphere.

The layout was perfect for our family, and it truly felt like having our own little home tucked away in the trees!

The Treehouse Pool: Our Favorite Hidden Gem!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about the Treehouse Pool!

It was located just a couple of treehouses down from ours, making it incredibly convenient.

We spent SO much time here!

The pool area was peaceful, relaxing, and never felt like the hustle and bustle you might expect at a Disney resort. We especially loved the jacuzzi!

One of our favorite things to do was take a midday break from the parks, head back to the treehouse, and spend some time relaxing at the pool.

Those breaks were exactly what we needed before heading back out for more Disney fun!

If you’re looking for a resort where you can truly unwind between park visits, this is such a wonderful option.

Exploring the Grandstand Pool

Another great perk of our treehouse location was being so close to the Grandstand section of Saratoga Springs.

Grandstand has a really nice pool area with a splash pad for younger children.

There’s also a pool bar that serves food and drinks, including the famous cheeseburger egg rolls!

Yes, you can enjoy cheeseburger egg rolls without having to visit Magic Kingdom!

Between the pool, splash area, and convenient food options, Grandstand was a great spot to have nearby.

The Springs: The Heart of Saratoga Springs

If you continue walking beyond Grandstand, you’ll reach The Springs, which is the main area of Saratoga Springs Resort.

This is where you’ll find the resort’s check-in area and many of its main amenities.

The main pool area is fantastic!

There are a couple of waterslides, a Donald Duck-themed splash pad area, and two jacuzzis.

There are also plenty of activities for families to enjoy outside the pool.

Let’s Talk Food: The Artist’s Palette & The Turf Club

We really enjoyed the dining options at Saratoga Springs!

The Artist’s Palette is the resort’s quick-service dining location, and we were impressed with both the food and the experience.

One thing we especially appreciated was how they handled food orders.

After ordering, they actually give you a pager so you can find a table and relax while your food is being prepared. When it’s ready, they bring it directly to your table!

It’s such a small detail, but it makes a big difference, especially after a long day in the parks when you don’t want to stand around waiting for your food.

We really enjoyed the food here and found it to be a convenient option during our stay.

We also had dinner at The Turf Club Bar and Grill, Saratoga Springs’ table-service restaurant.

The Turf Club has recently been refurbished as well, and we really enjoyed our dinner there!

It was a wonderful option for a relaxing meal without having to leave the resort.

I love when a Disney resort offers great dining options right on property, and Saratoga Springs definitely delivered for us!

So Much More Than Just Swimming!

One thing that surprised us was how many recreational activities Saratoga Springs offered.

Near the main pool, you’ll find a pool table, foosball, and ping pong tables. You can check out the equipment from the Community Hall.

My boys absolutely loved playing pool!

We spent quite a bit of time enjoying these activities, and it was such a nice change of pace from the parks.

The Community Hall also offers games and activities for families, and bike rentals are available at the resort.

This is one of the things I love about staying at a Disney resort. There is so much to enjoy beyond the theme parks!

Boat Transportation to Disney Springs: A HUGE Perk!

One of our absolute favorite things about staying in the Treehouse Villas was the boat transportation to Disney Springs!

The Treehouse Villas have their own boat launch near Treehouse 7020, which was just a few treehouses down from ours.

This was SO convenient!

We took the boat over to Disney Springs to enjoy some delicious food and shopping, and the entire experience was wonderful.

One of the best parts?

We never waited more than a few minutes for a boat in either direction!

The boat ride itself was incredibly peaceful. Cruising along the water surrounded by beautiful scenery was such a relaxing way to travel.

Honestly, the boat transportation was an experience in itself!

Instead of worrying about driving, parking, or waiting for a bus, we could simply walk a short distance from our treehouse, hop on a boat, and enjoy the ride.

If you’re staying in the Treehouse Villas, I highly recommend taking advantage of this transportation option. It was easily one of our favorite resort perks!

A Massive Resort! Is Having a Car Helpful?

One thing you need to know about Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is that this resort is MASSIVE!

There are five bus stops throughout the resort, beginning at Grandstand and ending at The Springs.

This means that even after boarding a bus, it can take a little while before you’re actually on your way to the theme parks.

This is another reason we loved being so close to Grandstand. Being the first stop for pickup and drop-off was a huge advantage!

I definitely think having a car at this resort is helpful!

Before our trip, I was a little worried about the parking situation at the Treehouse Villas. I wasn’t sure how convenient it would be or if finding a parking spot would be difficult.

Thankfully, parking was NEVER an issue for us!

Having our vehicle gave us extra flexibility to get around the property and head out when we wanted. With a resort this spread out, that convenience is definitely something to consider.

While you can absolutely stay here without a car and rely on Disney transportation, I personally think having your own vehicle makes things easier.

My biggest advice? Pay attention to your treehouse location!

Being close to the Grandstand walking trail, the Treehouse Pool, and the Disney Springs boat launch made Treehouse 7033 an ideal location for our family.

Let’s Talk Transportation: The One Downside

Now for the one thing we didn’t love about the Treehouse Villas: transportation to the theme parks.

The Treehouse Villas have their own internal bus loop, with buses scheduled approximately every 20 minutes.

The bus picks you up in the Treehouse Villa area and takes you to The Springs, where you can transfer to another bus to reach the Disney theme parks.

Our treehouse was conveniently located right next to an internal bus stop, but we never actually used the internal bus during our stay.

For us, time is valuable when we’re visiting Walt Disney World, and we didn’t want to spend extra time waiting on buses and making transfers.

Instead, we used two transportation options:

Option 1: Walk to Grandstand

Because we were staying in Treehouse 7033, we could walk approximately 5–8 minutes to the Grandstand bus stop.

This was our favorite option when the bus arrival times worked with our schedule.

Option 2: Take a Lyft

This was another fantastic option!

Lyft could pick us up right outside our Treehouse Villa, which was incredibly convenient.

For our party of seven, a Lyft XL was approximately $15 one way during our stay.

We loved having this option when we wanted to save time or didn’t feel like walking to Grandstand.

My biggest transportation tip?

Check the bus arrival times in the My Disney Experience app before leaving your villa.

This helped us decide whether walking to Grandstand or requesting a Lyft made the most sense.

While transportation to the theme parks required a little planning, the convenient boat transportation to Disney Springs was a major plus!

Would We Stay Here Again?

Absolutely!

Our six nights at Disney’s Treehouse Villas were wonderful, and I would definitely recommend them, especially for larger families or groups traveling together.

We loved having three bedrooms, a full kitchen, and plenty of room to spread out.

The newly refurbished interiors were beautiful, and the quiet, wooded setting made it feel like we were tucked away from the busyness of Walt Disney World.

But I think what made this stay extra special was how much we enjoyed the resort itself.

From relaxing at the Treehouse Pool and jacuzzi to playing pool with the boys, enjoying meals at The Artist’s Palette and The Turf Club, and taking peaceful boat rides to Disney Springs, we made so many memories outside of the theme parks.

And honestly, those relaxing midday breaks were some of my favorite moments of the entire trip!

My Final Tips for Staying at the Treehouse Villas

  1. Request a treehouse near the Grandstand walking trail. Treehouse 7033 was an ideal location for our family!

  2. Consider having a car. Saratoga Springs is a sprawling resort, and having your own vehicle adds convenience and flexibility. We had no issues with parking at the Treehouse Villas!

  3. Plan ahead for transportation to the parks. The internal bus requires a transfer, so consider walking to Grandstand or using a rideshare service.

  4. Take the boat to Disney Springs! This was one of our favorite perks, and the ride was so peaceful.

  5. Make time to enjoy the resort! The pools, Community Hall, and recreational activities are worth exploring.

  6. Try the resort restaurants. We really enjoyed The Artist’s Palette and The Turf Club!

  7. Take advantage of the full kitchen and laundry. These amenities are especially helpful for longer stays.

  8. Schedule some downtime. The peaceful setting is one of the best things about staying in a Treehouse Villa!

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a Disney resort experience that’s a little different from the traditional hotel stay, the Treehouse Villas are definitely worth considering.

They offer the perfect combination of Disney magic, extra space, and a peaceful retreat from the parks.

What I loved most was that our resort felt like a vacation within our Disney vacation!

We didn’t have to spend every minute in the parks to have an amazing time. Some of our favorite memories were made simply enjoying everything Saratoga Springs had to offer.

For our family, the Treehouse Villas were the perfect place to call home for six nights, and we’d happily stay there again!
